Homeschool learners will engage in various activities, learning how flooding as an extreme weather event can impact communities around the globe. Using real-life scenarios and a green solution STEM simulator, participants will expand their learning on how to make a home, school and community more flood resilient.
DPCDSB Workshops - Spot the Troll
Students in Gr 9-12 part of the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board will learn about the impact of misinformation on climate policy, and be encouraged to critically evaluate the information they encounter both online and offline. Oceans of Change Workshop (Gr 4-12)
Students will dive into the depths of the ocean to understand its role and importance in our world and how taking climate action can work to protect one of our most vital resources. Using their voice through the art of creativity, students will learn about eCards, taking steps to explore how to get change-makers' attention and see how small steps can make a big impact.
