Learners will create a campaign to raise awareness about litter pollution around drains and storm sewers. They will also clean their adopted drain and assess the campaigns outcome.

Learners will complete a guided home inspection to ensure their homes are protected from flooding. Developing literacy around different types of flooding, and best practices to protect homes from rainfall and sewer backup flooding.

Take Action: Install Rain Barrels
Learners will learn how to install rain barrels around their school or house and how rain barrels can potentially reduce flood risks by diverting the water into the barrels.
Climate Change in My Watershed Inquiry
Learners will use GreenLearning’s Spark Inquiry Model to examine the impacts of climate change in their watershed, identify the mitigation and adaptation measures required to address these changes, and take action.
