Learners will explore and understand the political concept of ‘the commons’, how this concept applies to climate change, and why greenhouse gas emissions are a ‘tragedy of the commons’. Learners will be able to apply this knowledge to explore the concept of Climate Justice at a high level.
Thawing Tundra
Permafrost is a layer of soil that is usually “permanently” frozen. What happens when permafrost is not so “perma” anymore? As global temperatures rise, the Arctic is experiencing warmer temperatures leading to the thawing of permafrost.
