What do a cell phone, sweater, and stick of gum have in common? They all contain plastic! We use plastic everyday but where does that plastic come from and where does it go when we’re done with it? In this 45 minute interactive workshop, students will explore the lifecycle of plastics from feedstock to post-use and discover innovative ways organizations are closing the loop on plastic. Students will then apply their knowledge by investigating the lifecycle of a plastic product they use and discover how consumer power can promote a circular economy. This workshop is based on the activities and resources in the Eco 360: Transitioning to a Circular Economy Program and is suitable for students grades 9-12.
