Turning Students Into Energy Managers

This free guided learning experience includes a 1 hour professional development webinar, a live, virtual classroom energy workshop and an Energy Education Kit complete with 5 watt meters, a binder lessons and activities and stickers! Suitable for grades 4-12 learning online or in-person.


This exciting learning experience includes all of the knowledge, tools and resources you need to turn your students into energy managers!

How to participate:

Step 1: Attend the Energy 101 Webinar on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 4-5pm MST.

Energy 101: In this engaging session, educators will explore a selection of GreenLearning's free resources for grades 4-12 from our award-winning Energy Revealed Program. You will leave this session with a variety of resources, tools and strategies for engaging your students in energy conservation and climate action. Secure your spot by Registering Now!

Step 2: Participate in a live, virtual classroom workshop

Speak for the Trees: Kick off your classroom learning on energy with an interactive and fun virtual workshop based on Energy Revealed's Speak for the Trees Activity. In this session, students will gain an understanding of basic energy concepts and terms while learning about the connection between energy use and climate change.

Note: Space is limited.

Step 3: Explore & learn about energy with your learners

Participants of the virtual classroom workshop will be sent their own Energy Education Kit, complete with grade specific energy lessons and activities, 5 handheld watt meters and energy savings stickers. This kit, combined with the digital tools and resources available through Energy Revealed, will get students learning about Math, Science and Social Studies through meaningful energy data.

Note: Only educators who have been selected to receive a live, virtual classroom workshop will receive an Energy Education Kit.

Step 4: Take action by hosting a School Earth Hour

With GreenLearning's support, it's time to put your learner's knowledge and skills into action by hosting and tracking the environmental impact of a School Earth Hour. Use our digital toolkit of posters and ideas to conserve energy and make a difference. Register for our Energy Revealed Challenge and you could win up to $1,000 for your energy savings!
